More colors, more style!  Royal wowed the typewriter world in 1930 when they took their color idea to the next level in order to target women and students. This new model offered a more attractive and wider range of duotone effects in full line of colors, such as rich crimson, crinoline blue, and orchid pastel, a total of more than 500 combinations. For even more style points, a customer could choose a new exclusive typeface appropriately called Vogue intended for social and personal correspondence.  Though looked nearly identical to its original portable design, the standard Portable of 1930 had hinged top covers designed to protect ribbon spools from dust.
