Hermes 3000 Boxy (1960s)

Perfectly engineered inside and out to the exacting standards of Swiss master craftsmen. The Hermes 3000 is a triumph of precision workmanship. The Hermes 3000 of the late 1960 has an updated boxy housing with essentially the same mechanics as its early version.  Highlighted features includes basket shift, Flying Margins, front push button panel for all services keys.  Because of its superior quality and features, Hermes 3000 was able to command a premium in pricing comparing with other imported or US domestic made portables.  It was originally sold for $130, equivalent of more than $800 today. The Hermes 3000 models are generally regarded as the best manual portable ever made.
