Robert Louis Stevenson

The author of Treasure Island (1883), A Child’s Garden of Verses (1885), The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1886), Kidnapped (1886) and The Master of Ballantrae (1889) was perhaps the first major writer to use a typewriter, probably for drafts and letters. It is said to have been a Hammond. If not for the booze, he might have ended up on a Selectric : )
