A fine antique! The 4-row, frontstrike design became dominant at the beginning of the twentieth century. Early L.C. Smith machines bear an attractive decal, featuring the typewriter inside a horseshoe, flanked by three horses. Highlighted features include tabulator, backspacer, two-color device, stencil cutting device, automatic reverse and variable platen release for writing on ruled paper. Ball bearing throughout. Writes 84 characters with writing always visible.
